NEET UG 2025 Guidelines: Exam Day Rules, Dress Code & More

NEET UG 2024 Guidelines: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET UG 2024 exam on May 5. More than 24 lakh candidates will appear for the NEET UG 2024 this year from 557 cities throughout India and 14 cities outside India. 

The duration of the exam is  02:00 PM to 05:20 PM.

Tomorrow is the big day for medical students who have studied hard for months. They need to follow the rules on exam day for NEET UG 2024 to make sure everything goes smoothly. It’s important to know the instructions from NTA so they can have a successful and not stressful exam.

NEET UG 2025: Exam day guidelines

NEET 2025 Reporting Time

The candidate needs to go to the NEET exam center at the time mentioned on the admit card. No one can enter the center after the gate closing time. Getting there on time will help with all the things you need to do before the test. It will also help the test run smoothly.

What is allowed to be carried inside the exam center?

  1. Admit Card with Self Declaration (Undertaking) and Postcard size photograph pasted on the designated space (The page downloaded from the NTA website) (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in.
  2. Additional photograph same as uploaded on Application Form, to be pasted on Attendance Sheet
  3. PwD Certificate and Scribe-related documents, if applicable
  4. Before reaching the Centre, the candidates must enter the required details in the Undertaking in legible handwriting.
  5. Personal transparent water bottle

Bio-breaks rules for candidates

In addition to the biometric attendance and frisking at arrival, applicants will undergo another biometric attendance check upon entering from the restroom or bio-break.

NEET UG 2025 Dress Code: What Should You Wear and What Should Not?

For Males:-

  • choose a plain T-shirt or Shirt with short sleeves
  • Clothing should be void of pockets, zip, elaborate buttons
  • opt for straightforward pants and a shirt
  • avoiding wearing a kurta or pajamas
  • wearing uncomplicated clothes without layering
  • Footwear should be simple. sneakers, boots, or covered shoes are not allowed, so select light slippers or sandals

For Females:-

  • Simplicity is the key. So avoid wearing clothes with embroidery, frills, or layer
  • wear half sleeves kurti, shirt, or plain t-shirt
  • Long or ornate sleeve designs are prohibited.
  • Refrain from wearing any jewellery, whether metallic or nonmetallic
  • Fancy footwear like heels, boots, sneakers, and stilettos are not permitted in the exam hall so select open sandals or slippers.
  • Hair clips or any designer hair accessories are not permitted in the exam hall so select simple rubber bands to tie your hair
